Parking Permits

Student parking permits are required to park in student lots. A new permit is required for each term, Summer, Fall, and Spring. Permits are not required in student parking for intersession.

Students are not permitted to park in any staff/faculty lots at any time, with or without a permit. All campus parking violations are being enforced.

Students may order a parking permit once enrolled in a class for the specific term and enrollment fees are paid.

Permits are not required:

  • For owners of a valid disabled placard
  • For students with class on Saturday only
  • During Intersession

Spring 2025 Parking Enforcement

City, Mesa, and Miramar Colleges:

Student permit enforcement will be suspended for the entire month of January during Intersession. 

Student permit enforcement will be suspended for the first week of classes, February 3-7, 2025.

Warnings for student permit violations will be issued the second week of classes, February 10-14, 2025.

Full enforcement begins on February 18, 2025. 


College of Continuing Education:

Fall 2024 semester permits are valid until January 25th. 

Student permit enforcement will be suspended for the first week of classes, January 29- February 7, 2025.

Warnings for student permit violations will be issued the second week of classes, February 10-14, 2025.

Full enforcement begins on February 18, 2025. 

This applies to all CCE campuses, Lot 4 at Mesa College and in G4 at Miramar College.

Order and Pay Online

City, Mesa, and Miramar Students can order and pay online in the mySDCCD student portal. 

  1. Under the 'My Finances' drop-down on the left side navigation, select "Parking Permit/AS Card;" or
  2. In the 'My Finances' pagelet, click "Account Inquiry" and navigate to the "Parking Permit/AS Card" tab.

Cutoff Date to Have Parking Permit Mailed To You

Spring 2025 Permits: Students who order and pay for a Spring 2025 parking permit by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, January 22 will have their permit mailed to them.  Students should ensure their mailing address is up to date on their mySDCCDstudent portal. 

Students who purchase Spring 2025 parking permits January 23 and later must pick up the permit in person at Campus Police with photo ID.

City, Mesa, Miramar, and College of Continuing Education students can pay for a parking permit in person at the Accounting office on campus, then pick up your permit in person at Campus Police with a valid photo ID.

Bus & Trolley Pass

Current students enrolled in 7 or more credit units or the non-credit equivalent of 7 units are eligible to purchase discounted bus and trolley passes, valid for unlimited trips throughout the semester.  College passes are valid on regular MTS and NCTD bus, Trolley and SPRINTER services.
Not valid on MTS Rapid Express/NCTD COASTER or FLEX.

For College of Continuing Education students:

  • Semester passes are available for Spring and Fall semesters. The price is set by San Diego Metropolitan Transit Service (MTS) but averages approximately $180-$190 per semester.   
  • Monthly student discount passes are $57.60 and are available all year.  
  • Spring 2025 semester discount passes are $180
  • Purchase a Spring 2025 semester pass at Student Accounting between January 6 and February 28, 2025
  • Spring 2025 semester passes are valid for rides January 13 – June 7, 2025

College transit passes use the PRONTO system. Students can choose to use a physical PRONTO card or the PRONTO mobile app. PRONTO cards are available at the Student Accounting office on campus. Students who want to use the mobile app should download the app and set up an account prior to purchasing their pass.

Students 18 and under ride free with the Youth Opportunity Pass. Campus Accounting Offices do not issue passes for YOP.
